December 2016 It is that time of year when we as members of the Saskatchewan Country Music Association, reflect back on the year that was, and bring forward the positive musical aspects of it to other members that might not be that closely associated with what we as individual performers are doing. In saying that, I look back on 2016 as a positive year, with several highlights, including the release of my 4th album and second Country Gospel release called " Let Your Spirit Grow". This is an album that is close to my heart, not only in the peace that working on the project found it's way into me, but the positive impact that the selection of songs have made on so many people. Another highlight is the warm response that the Western Roots music I take to Folks all over Western Canada receives. I pride myself in getting off the beaten track, to places where live music is a novelty, not the taken for granted norm, and the appreciation level that the audiences have that time was taken to go to their hall, is very rewarding. 2016 also saw the 4th season of the SHAW TV series I am proud to Host and Produce, "The Timberline Music Show". Once again we have been able to highlight Saskatchewan Artists and give them a forum for a broader television audience. We are already slated for taping dates in 2017, and will be continuing to feature SCMA members and their incredible talents. As a final note, I wish all the members of the SCMA luck in the awards, and all the best in the new year. Jan 13 2016 After what seems like almost forever, Larry's newest Country Gospel Album "Let Your Spirit Grow" is in the finished master stage.  It is done!  The combination of his original songs, and ones he selected, bring forward an upbeat, though at times reflective, album, that will get your toes tapping.   Listen to your favorite Country Gospel Radio show to hear the first release off of the album coming real soon. Dec 15 2015 I am very pleased to announce that I will be the MC for the Prince Albert winter Festival Country Classic Show, to be held in the E.A. Rawlinson Center Feb 17 and 18, 2016. The show is gonna feature solid Classic Country Music, sung by a great cross section of both newer and more seasoned local performers, backed up by an awesome 8 piece band. I look forward to seein ya there! Nov 9 2015 After some brief discussions with Terri Mason, the Editor of Cowboy Country Magazine, based out of Alberta, Larry has agreed to do a promotional performance at the Cowboy Country Magazine Tradeshow booth, during the Canadian Finals Rodeo in Edmonton this November.  Teaming up with Cowboy Country is a natural fit for Larry, with his Western Roots music solidly based on the Western way of life that the Magazine reflects.  If you are heading to the CFR this year, swing on by the CC booth and say howdy.  Larry will be performing Saturday from 1030 to 1230 pm.
