Jan 22 2017 Don’t Miss the “Boreal Bistro, Western theme Dinner and a show”- Friday Feb 24th in Prince Albert.   I am looking forward to this as it is a chance for me to do a rare Prince Albert full  songwriter evening, much like the shows that are so popular in southern Saskatchewan and Alberta, featuring both my songs and a lot of my Western favorites.  This is gonna get so western, you might be needin to check yer boots on the way out.  Chef Kevin says the grub is gonna be incredible, so between the tunes and the food, we are figurin this is an evening you don't want to miss.  Head on by.  ~Larry~ Jan 2017 Happy New Year Everyone ... I am pleased to announce that I have accepted the invitation to be a Host for 2 trail rides with the Trail Riders of the Canadian Rockies this next August. In the process of the invitation, they talked about the genuine feel of my Western Roots music, along with my dedication to promote and preserve the Western Heritage, which are both things that they focus on and feature for their international guests during the rides. This outfit, which has been putting on trail rides in the Rockies for 94 years now, has a solid reputation in the back country trail ride community, and I am honored to be asked to help carry on the tradition. From makin the cowboy coffee in the morning, to banterin along the ride, to songs, poems and stories around the fire, to watchin the last flicker disappear into the dark, the days are gonna be full and exciting. To be honest, I can't wait til August. Check out the link, and if ya see fit, come on along for the ride. See ya down the trail..  Dec 14th 2016 It is that time of year when we as members of the Saskatchewan Country Music Association, reflect back on the year that was, and bring forward the positive musical aspects of it to other members that might not be that closely associated with what we as individual performers are doing. In saying that, I look back on 2016 as a positive year, with several highlights, including the release of my 4th album and second Country Gospel release called " Let Your Spirit Grow". This is an album that is close to my heart, not only in the peace that working on the project found it's way into me, but the positive impact that the selection of songs have made on so many people. Another highlight is the warm response that the Western Roots music I take to Folks all over Western Canada receives. I pride myself in getting off the beaten track, to places where live music is a novelty, not the taken for granted norm, and the appreciation level that the audiences have that time was taken to go to their hall, is very rewarding. 2016 also saw the 4th season of the SHAW TV series I am proud to Host and Produce, "The Timberline Music Show". Once again we have been able to highlight Saskatchewan Artists and give them a forum for a broader television audience. We are already slated for taping dates in 2017, and will be continuing to feature SCMA members and their incredible talents. As a final note, I wish all the members of the SCMA luck in the awards, and all the best in the new year. Nov 15th 2016 Well, fall came and went, had over 2 feet of snow, then we had fall again, up here on the Outfit. Thinking things are about back to normal as we settle in for winter. This fall has seen me wander all over, into some places that I have never been, playing my Western Roots tunes, and meeting Folks. I am looking forward to continuing heading to smaller communities and playing in places that don't get a lot of performers coming through. If you would like to have me out to do a show in your community hall, give me a holler. We can make that happen. May 28 2016 The summer of 2016 is starting to book up, with shows across Western Canada. Remember the new Gospel CD release party will be June 5th in Prince Albert. Really looking forward to returning to the Calgary Stampede July 11th and 12th this summer.
